Well, according to Alias Media, the Alias season finale is currently scheduled for the 23rd of May. Just when my exams start - oh joy!

In other news, went to see Hidalgo yesterday, and yes, I cried. But not for the reason that I thought. It was one of those films that you can't help crying at (although my flatmate didn't, but she doesn't tend to cry at films). Seeing as I cry when I watch horse races, then I was bound to whilst watching a film about a horse race!

Although, [livejournal.com profile] kyizi completely ruined my crying buzz, because she was bouncing up and down in her seat at the end of the race, whilst I was wanting to cry with the emotion of it. It's a little hard to cry when the person sitting next to you is bouncing and clapping her hands like a 5-year-old (yes, that's how [livejournal.com profile] kyizi acts when watching a film, and don't deny it!). Still, I got my crying at the end.

It made me in the mood to watch Due South, and although Season 2 has been dispatched, it's not arrived yet! *wail* I want it! Watched Season 3 Stargate instead, and *wail* for Martouf. I love him!

Also spent about 2 and half hours sorting out the Astrosoc bank account today with the help of [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris. Still have to do the cashbox accounts. Eek! They're going to be the trouble.

I also haven't actually started Wood & Wild Chapter 14, but I have been thinking about it, so I know what's going to be in it, which is more than can be said of about 3 days ago!

I'd better go and get some studying done now, since I haven't done any today, instead sorting out accounts. Grr!

Bah, bloody hell! I just did loads of memes and had lots of lj cuts, and then pressed the wrong bloody button on the computer and it's all gone! And now I can't get it back! Grr!

Well, the long and short of it was that I either got Aragorn or Merry, Elijah Wood fathered my baby because he wanted to settle down and have kids, every time I did the PotC one I got Jack Sparrow, except the time I got Captain Barbossa (we don't talk about that one!), my movie one was quite good - my dying scene was played out to Frank Sinatra's My Way.

On other topics, the Burns' Supper seems to be coming together (fingers crossed), so [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris and I can stress less now. She's coming over tonight, and we're going to combine writing speeches for the Supper, doing work, and watching Season 2 Alias. Which means I finally get to see Firebomb. I've only been waiting about 6 months!

I also got a phone call today saying that my glasses are ready, so I'm going to pick them up tomorrow, and then I'll be able to see! Woohoo!

I had typed out some more, but my hands are hurting from the hideous lecture I had earlier.

If you want to go and have some fun, like I did, check out the memes that [livejournal.com profile] mental_midget did.

Yes, the loveable hobbit is 27 today!

In other news, I may have found myself a man. I'm keeping things quiet until I'm sure, because I don't want to jinx anything. I'm very good at jinxing things!

Also, I've got my ticket for Return of the King! Woohoo! 11:20 on Wednesday morning. It's not the first showing at the cinema, but I sacrificed that for seeing it in the biggest screen. I think it's going to be worth it.

The ceilidh, despite my misgivings, was a fantastic success, in case anyone was wondering. It was sold out, so we made quite a tidy profit, which I was surprised about, since I thought we would break even and that's about it! Next year has a lot to live up to! *g*

There's another LotR-related article in the Metro today, an interview with Andy Serkis, which I will post, but it's very long and I don't actually have the time to type it all up at the moment. So I'm afraid you're going to have to wait!

Well, I watched PotC with the commentary of Keira Knightley and Jack Davenport, which, if you haven't seen it, I would recommend it. Keira and Jack are so funny. Keira is unbelievably hyper and normal. I know that sounds a little odd, but she sounds just like the rest of us.

And, I have more news from the lovely Metro. This time is about Orlando Bloom taking a break )

Well, it's our ceilidh tonight, and surprisingly, almost all the tickets have been sold. I was quite amazed when I found that out, so things might be looking up on that score.

On a much more depressing note, I've discovered that I have a grand total of £50 to last me until my next loan cheque, which isn't due until the 12th January. Eek! I've clearly been spending too much money on DVDs. *shame-faced* But they're all so pretty!

And Christmas/birthday presents. Gah! I've not even bought all mine yet. Everyone is just going to have to wait until the January sales.

Yes, I managed to upload the right one, now!

And, I think it looks good, at least on 800x600, which is what these uni computers are. You'll have to let me know if it looks really stupid on 1024x768, and if so, how I can centre the stupid thing using over-rides!

[livejournal.com profile] notasalmon couldn't show me how to use over-rides, I ended up sort of snitching the html from one of [livejournal.com profile] ignited's livejournal layouts, and then changing it so it would fit into the over-ride thing!

Still, I'm learning how to change the colours now!

[livejournal.com profile] kyizi and I went to the cinema last night and saw The Medallion and LXG. )

Today, I brought my laptop into uni, because I had the image of the tickets that we're selling for our ceilidh at the beginning of December on it. Also, I had it as layers in Photoshop, which was a good job, since I had to change stuff on it. I have to say, I felt really strange with my laptop out in the Common Room!

It also meant that I could upload my new layout, since I hadn't put it on Frankie (my USB drive).

I've also updated my website, which is now nearly working properly, I do believe. Basically, at the moment, it's just sitting there, looking pretty, but fingers crossed, soon there'll actually be stuff on it! :D

So, I went to my friend's (Karen) play last night; it was Les Liasons Dangereuses (God, my French spelling has become atrocious! Anyway, you get the idea!). Laura (who's just got a livejournal under the name "loriel_eris" and for some reason, it won't let me link to it) and I decided (somewhat foolishly) to sit in the front row, in front of the bed. Now I knew what was going to happen, for one because I knew the premise of the play, and two, Karen had told me about rehearsals, so I should have known better.

Anyway, there were bed scenes, although the guy that was playing Valmont (who Karen fancies, and with total justification, 'cos he is HOT!) didn't have time to take any clothes off, since he was running on and off stage like a loon! At one point, he made out with this girl (who's character name I can't for the life of me remember) right at my feet. I'm talking inches away. It was really strange. I didn't know where to look!

Also, Karen was sitting on a chaise lounge really close to me in one scene, and the lights dimmed and this piano music came on. I immediately thought of Draco (it's a long story I won't go into here!) and tried not to smile, and definitely not look at Karen, because I knew she would realise why I was smiling and probably crack up herself. Apparently, she saw me, and had to look down again, because I was looking up at the ceiling with a smirk on my face!

All in all, it was a fantastic play, and the performers really did it justice.

On completely other notes, I'm currently not stressing about my upcoming Society's Beer & Donut Night, which is tonight, and not much has been done for it. Still, I'm sure if I just wander about with a smile on my face, everything will be fine. (Or else people with think I'm crackers!)

Okay, I'm off to find more Sark video clips. :)

Well, I'm currently at the Observatory, doing absolutely no work whatsoever! Instead, I'm listening to music and dossing about on the Internet. Since this will probably be the only week when I'm not doing any work, so I figure I'll enjoy while I can!

I'm having men issues too. (What a surprise!) A friend of [livejournal.com profile] notsalmon's and mine sort of set me up with this really nice guy, but I haven't heard from him recently. Normally I would say that he wasn't interested, but he did seem interested, and texted me after our date, so I don't know! Argh!

On another, stressful note, I've got projects to research and write, and also a social event for my society which is on Thursday! Eek! Still, since this is my last year at uni, I've got used to stress, and generally use fanfiction as a stress-reliever! The only thing is, I'm running out of good fic! :D I'm even getting desperate enough to troll through Fanfiction.net to find good fic! How desperate am I? :D

Yesterday, I dragged [livejournal.com profile] notasalmon to my Freshers' Fair. Our stand is quite close to the PC World one, which means lots of young men in snazzy suits. Well, being bored, I was watching one of them pace up and down in his phone. He was blond and I began thinking that I was seeing things, because he looked remarkably like our lovely Mr Sark! I'd been staring at him for about five minutes when [livejournal.com profile] notasalmon said, "He looks like Sark." So, great minds think alike. And, what's more, our other friend, Laura, who's not a fan of Sark, also agreed. [livejournal.com profile] notasalmon and I ended up staring at the poor guy all day! He wasn't very Sark-like from the front, but his profile certainly was, although he was a little slimmer (I mean his shoulders were less broad). He kept laughing and joking (because obviously he wasn't a terrorist who hardly ever smiles!) and disappointed [livejournal.com profile] notasalmon mightily when he yelled something in a really strong Scottish accent!

[livejournal.com profile] notasalmon has gone home now (although she should have gone home yesterday, but she missed her flight, that's another story!) and I'm hoping that Sarky is there again today, it might keep me awake!

Argh! I'm the President of the Astronomy Society this year, and that means that of course, I'm one of the ones stressing about the fact that Freshers' Fair starts tomorrow and we haven't done anything yet! Plus, there's ceiledhs to organise and bands to get together and what feels like millions of other things to do as well! Eek!

The only thing that's keeping me sane is Alias and Sark at the moment. Although, Kath and I discovered that my computer (which is currently the best thing since sliced bread and I'm treating him like a king as a consequence) will convert videos into MP3s, which is fantastic, because it means that they take up a fraction of the room, and my poor computer is about to explode!

Phew! Deep breath! So now I'm on the computers getting pretty picture therapy! :)
