nimoloth mentioning the American roadtrip episode of Top Gear that was on BBC2 on Sunday night, I had a look on the 'On Demand' channel, because I know that there are repeats of programs on it.
Since I love Top Gear anyway, I was cheesed off to have missed that episode, and so was really chuffed to find that it was repeated. I've just finished watching it and it was hilarious! I laughed so hard that I nearly cried. That is one episode that could be watched over and over again. And it was scary too. I couldn't believe it when they wrote 'Country and Western is Rubbish'; 'Man-love Rules OK'; 'Hilary Clinton for President' and 'Nascar Sucks' on their cars with the idea that they provoked getting shot at! The thing is, if someone did that in the UK, people would probably just laugh or shake their heads and think 'what a load of pillocks' but in Alabama, the 'boys' were called in and the presenters and film crew were attacked with rocks and stones and they had to flee to the border (after Richard Hammond risking life and limb to jump start James May's Cadillac!)! Eeek!
If anyone who hasn't seen this episode, try to, even if you don't like cars, because it was so funny! Here's the link to a summary of the episode. I'm sure there'll be an video of the whole thing on the internet somewhere if you don't have 'on demand'.
