Look at your userpics. If you...
* Have less than 10 icons, choose them all.
* Have between 10 and 50 icons, choose every fifth one.
* Have between 50 to 75 icons, choose every seventh one.
* Have more than 75 icons, choose every tenth one.

List them, and explain why you have it, why it's interesting.

Seeing as I have over 100, they're going behind a cut!

Man, I wanted to pick more icons, but I restrained myself!

More icons

I've just joined a Harry Potter messageboard that's rather nifty. You get Sorted into a House and once you do, another thread opens up for your common room. You get a wand and go to classes and it's all quite funky.

Anyway, I was Sorted into Ravenclaw and thus immediately went about searching for images to use as my signature. A few of the other members have made a signature by making a collage of icons, which is what I decided to do.

(This was made a lot easier by the fact that I can now get my computer on the internet at home! I have to plug into the router because the wi-fi thing still doesn't word, but right now, I don't care!)

So, anyway, I thought I'd offer these icons up. Take as many or as little as you like. Some of them have R's on them, and if you like the icon but don't want the letter, or would rather have another letter on there, just let me know.

So, here we are (Please credit me if you're taking them, and let me know. (If you don't, I'll avada kedavra your arse, as [livejournal.com profile] hellokimberly puts it!):

So, I finally managed to get on my computer and shrink my animated icons! Yay!

Here they are, courtesy of this brilliant Webcomic:

I also managed to go through the chapters of Wood & Wild that have been returned to me by my betas. So hopefully Chapter 3 will be up on Sugar Quill and Chapter 7 will be up on Phoenix Song soon. Also, Chapter 3 on Phoenix Song will be changed, as I made a lot of changes to it.

As a result, I didn't have any time to make any more icons for [livejournal.com profile] eretria, although I did think about it! However, I will have time to do so tonight!

I also didn't get any more writing done of The Art of Being (the sequel to Wood & Wild) either (although, again, I did think about it!).
heliona: (Default)
Oh, [livejournal.com profile] eretria, I haven't made any more icons for you yet! Sorry!!

In fact, I was completely the opposite of industrious this last weekend! I did absolutely nothing!

I was intending on making some cool icons and writing some more of Wood & Wild, but nothing happened! I didn't even change the chapters that I've just received back from my betas! *slap slap* Bad girl! I'll see if I can summon together energy tonight. :)

So, I made some more icons! Unfortunately, I guess because it was quite late by the time I managed to get my animations working, I forgot that they have to be 40 K or less. One of mine is 77 K, so that will need some serious changes! The other is only 43 K, which is annoying! I shall have to tweak it as well.

However, I managed to update my 'Guys & Cars' icon so that it runs better, and I also made a climbing icon.

Here they are:

What do you think?

(Am still annoyed about my other gifs!! I thought I'd check to make sure they were under 40 K, but I guess I spent so long working on the 'Guys & Cars' one, making it as good as it could be whilst being under the limit, I forgot about it for the other two!)

Also, my right ear is aching again. Not as bad as yesterday, but it's more constant. Grr!

Yay! I'm in the process of updating some icons, because I keep wanting an icon for cooking posts, for instance, and all I have is my not-very-nice chocolate muffin icon (it's not very nice because I made it using LJ, as opposed to actually manipping it, which I suppose I'll get round to at some point!). So anyway, here are a few new ones:

This one is too small, I know. You can't read the writing! But it was past midnight when I got it to this stage, and I couldn't face making the writing bigger at that point! I'll work on it more later this week. Here is the cartoon it is based on.

[ETA: No longer visible because I remade it and it is now obviously a different number. See a later post tagged 'icons'.]

Paella is one of my favourite foods. I've never cooked it. I cooked Cuban paella once, otherwise inventively known as 'arroz con pollo' (that's 'rice with chicken' for those of you who don't speak Spanish).

I post so much about films that I realised that I needed an icon dedicated to films in general, as opposed to specific films.

My Sleep Tight icon just didn't convey the right amount of tiredness, and who can resist this photo of a husky puppy?!

Again, I post quite a bit about writing in general, as well as fanfiction, so a writing icon was needed. (This was also inspired by various people on my LJ having great writing icons!)

This is my 'friends' icon. I think I had it up a wee while ago, but I had to take it down to put others up! I like it so much, it had to make a return!

In other news, my right ear has suddenly started hurting. It's like someone stabbing my earhole with a pin! It's not constant either, it comes and goes. Argh!

Comment and I will give you 3 interests on your list and 3 icons for you to explain.

[livejournal.com profile] hellokimberly's choices:

01. david anders

The young actor who played the British terrorist, Mr Julian Sark, in Alias. Aside from being gorgeous, he's also very talented, and probably not appreciated enough. It took a while before I realised he wasn't British! By far the best character in Alias! How can I not like him?!

02. marshall flinkman

Marshall Flinkman is the lovable tech geek in Alias. He's short, never stops talking, is amazingly brilliant, and is forever saving the day with his quick thinking. I want a cute, huggable Marshall in my life! Also, he uses the word: 'swank'. *g*

03. sarky

It's been so long since I inputted my interests I can't actually remember for sure what 'sarky' is! Oh, wait, yes! It is basically anything to do with Sark (see above description of David Anders) in Alias. Used in the context: I'm going to watch 'The Passage' for some Sarky goodness. Pretty much the same context as 'chocolatey'! *g*

This comes from my obsession with Draco/Ginny-ness. Basically, a lot of fic that I've read involves Ginny keeping Draco in line by him considering what she would think of him. She is the only person who he cares about (obviously, something's happened to his parents). I made this icon for when I'd done something that someone I liked would want to kill me for (metaphorically, obviously!). *g*

Well, this I made because I was wanting to post a lot of book reviews and I figured I needed a book icon. The writing 'read me' is what I hear books saying before I've opened them! They're crying out 'read me!' at the top of their little paper lungs! *g* The stack pretty much epitomises my bedside table, although sadly they're not as old as that! Books are my life! I could not live without books! I'm still not happy about the writing on this icon, though.

[livejournal.com profile] kyizi made this one for me. The guy on the left is David Anders (see above) and the guy on the right is Greg Grunberg (from Alias and also now he's in Heroes). I realise that it looks as though they're kissing, but basically, their characters are my favourites from Alias (although I love Marshall, I love Weiss (Greg Grunberg's character) more! He's like a teddy bear!). So this icon are my two favourite Alias actors messing around!

I've just been looking at old text messages with a mind to delete them and came across this one from [livejournal.com profile] kyizi:

A cop on a horse says to a little girl on a bike, "Did Santa get you that?"

"Yep," replies the little girl.

"Well, tell him to put a reflector light on it next year," the cop says and fines her £5.

The little girl looks up at the cop and said, "Nice horse you got there. Did Santa bring you that?"

The cop chuckles and replies, "He sure did."

"Well," said the little girl, "next year tell Santa the dick goes under the horse, not on top of it."

Also, in other news, I'm making a new icon and need a photo of Skeet Ulrich with a car. I'm hoping that there'll be one of him from Jericho but I can't find one.

Go to my userpics and tell me which one you like best, and why. :) Then post this in your journal to find out which of your pictures is my favourite.

I've just got a new icon from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] nimoloth. Thank you sweetie. Yay!

(Although I did have to delete my Secret Craft "looking good" one, but since the caps weren't wonderful, it was the only one I could bring myself to delete!)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris I now have a Paid Live Journal, and thus more space for my icons! (Yes, I'm an icon slut!)

Have also brought in my desktop image for your viewing pleasure.

Desktop )

I actually have nothing else to say at the moment, except that my DVD Region Free thing seems to be working, since I managed to play Alias Season 2 (which is Region 1) on my computer. That would be wonderful, if only I could hear it!

Although, bizarrely, the sound quality was perfect for the episodes, it was just unbelievably quiet and no matter what I did to the volume controls, it didn't change. Well, I'll worry about that once my computer's working properly again.

In other news, I've discovered how to make fonts transparent in Photoshop. Hurray! These three Alias icons are a result.

Feel free to take (I can't use them at the mo), if you really want (although everyone that I know makes better ones than these), just credit me and let me know.

Well, I've been shopping, and got precisely one thing that I wanted and three things that I didn't. All [livejournal.com profile] kyizi's fault, I might add!

I bought some Retro Scetchers, which are gorgeous, and [livejournal.com profile] kyizi bought the same pair for work. I also bought a lovely beige fleece, which is so warm! Oh and some fleecey socks, which I'm looking forward to wearing tonight whilst I watch ER.

Just uploaded my new icons (they're the same as before, except I made the writing more legible). Phew. Also made my lj layout into a desktop. *g* I've been a busy little girl.
