Doctor Who!

Okay, first of all, f*ck my sideways! Last week's episode had me hiding behind the sofa, this one had me on the edge of the sofa with my eyes as wide as saucers!



I don't care what abby_i says about continuity (mainly Jack running to meet the TARDIS as opposed to being yanked out as in Torchwood) [of course, there's the possibility that that was another incident - we are working with time travellers here!], this was an awesome episode! Someone also said that it was predictable, but it certainly wasn't for me!

The interaction between Ten and Jack was awesome! I'd completely forgotten that we hadn't actually seen them on screen together before. I think I prefer the interaction between the two as opposed to between Nine and Jack - Ten's just cheekier and it seems to work. The bit where Ten reassures Jack that Rose isn't dead is so great! And of course Jack flirting with everything that moves! It's funny how Jack is completely different when he's with the Doctor as opposed to being the one in charge at Torchwood. He obviously likes not having the responsibility of being the only person who knows what's going on!

As for the Master, well! Having not seen many of the old episodes of Doctor Who, I didn't know about the Master beforehand, but I tell you, there's nothing scarier to me than a Timelord who's evil. The Master freaked me out: Derek Jacobi was fantastic, as was David Tennant's reaction when he realised what was going on.

I was freaking when he took the TARDIS! How could he do that?!

Anyway, I'm seriously looking forward to the next episode. For starters, more Jack (how great was it that John Barrowman was in the opening credits?!). And more Master. *g*

Sorry!! I've always preferred Ten to Nine, and I prefer Ten/Jack to Nine/Jack. I'm going to stand by that! *g*

It's fair enough, I know a lot of people prefer Ten. I just love the (obvious) angst filled Nine and his co-dependant issues with Rose.

One more season, that's all I wanted. *sob*

But yay, angsty Jack!

I think I prefer Ten because he's more like Tom Baker's Doctor, who was the first one that I saw, and I loved. You know, kind of manic, with a twinkle in his eye and a big grin. *g*

Nine was good, though. They're just completely different Doctors.

Jack was brilliant!
