Hello all! Okay, so it's come to my attention that a few people that I sent the email too aren't going to forward it on. Fair enough; I had a hard enough time thinking of a recipe myself! *g* But I'd appreciate if you'd told me, because the person who sent it to me was really looking forward to getting some recipes.

rosenchanted told me that she couldn't think of any, so I forwarded a recipe of my own, and that's what I intend to do if others can't, because as I said, truehobbit was looking forward to the recipes.

Now I know that quite a few people (myself included!) delete chain letters out of hand, but this one did say if you couldn't take part, let the person who sent it know. After all, this isn't exactly a "sent it to 10 people and you will have luck for 10 years" kind of email! *g*

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that if anyone can't send it on, for whatever reason, could you let me know? :)

It's going well. Just working on my second graded assignment which is due on Friday! I've got a great idea which I can picture easily in my head, but the words are refusing to be written. So frustrating, but I'm forcing myself to write.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I remember what it was like when I was at school. But I did find that when I was under pressure and had to come up with something, it all came together. Of course, that's no consolation whilst you're panicking! *g*

Although the main person to lose from people not playing is you. ;)

I think it's not to be expected that everybody has the wish/time/ability to take part, so I'm not really counting on getting a hundred recipes. ;)

But I think the reason that the mail asks the recipient to let the sender know if they aren't playing is because then the sender can pick someone else, because *you* will also end up without getting recipes sent to you if the mail doesn't get multiplied.

Not sure if I can explain it (I think it would need a chart to demonstrate it) - but I think this is a kind of chain that re-starts with each two people, rather than being carried on and on.

So, if your contacts don't respond, that's ten recipes less for me, which is a pity but no big deal - but if they don't forward to ten others each, that's hardly any chance for recipes for you at all. You'll be getting the recipes from the people your friends forward the mail to, so... :)

Sorry my adding you ended up such a bother - I just thought as a single household, you'd like a hundred easy recipes, too. :D

Forgot to add, I think it's awesome you're trying so hard to catch people's attention - I'm not even sure more than two or three of my contacts responded at all. :D
As you say, some just delete chain mail, and I suspect that pretty often the mail program does it for them by not even delivering mails sent to multiple addresses.

As for the getting attention, well, I just think that recipes are much more interesting than: pass it on to 10 people and you'll get luck for 10 years etc. *g*

it wasn't so much that I couldn't think of any (i have recipe books coming out of my ears), i just don't do cooking. You know this. Did you see my 'i almost blew up the kitchen' post the other week? I mean, seriously, I almost blew up the microwave and this is not the first time! :p
