I'm Baaccckkk!
Mar. 2nd, 2007 10:01 pmYes! I'm connected again! Hurrah!
But I've got *lots* of friends posts to catch up on, so bear with me.
My life has been very boring whilst I've been offline.
Thanks to
kyizi I've now seen all of Season 6 Gilmore Girls. Yay! I'm now gagging for Season 7. *g* If it hadn't been for that, I'd have gone insane! The fact that I had no internet combined with the fact that I broke the middle toe of my left foot playing with the dog (who has now gone to his new home and is having a great time, apparently) which meant I was immobile! Argh! At least I could watch reruns of Top Gear. *g*
I'm still unemployed, and have encountered people being really quite nasty to me. First of all, the woman at the temp agency basically told me I was unemployable as a temp because I didn't have any office experience. Apparently 4 years of using computers at uni and a pretty good typing speed was just useless! Secondly, the chap at the Jobcentre treated me like a moron, which seriously cheesed me off, since I'm probably better qualified than him and his job could be done by a monkey, who would also treat people better!
However, I managed to get my silver snake-scale ballet pumps changed to a size that fits perfectly and I found my local library which, whilst isn't fantastic, is pretty good. I succumbed to my romance devil that sits on my right shoulder whispering in my ear when I enter a library and got out two Nora Roberts books (some of which are pretty good: my mother and I went through all the ones that the library in Martha's Vineyard had, although that was partly to annoy my father!) and a Dark Hunter novel by Sherrylin Kenyon. I've read another one of them (I later discovered it was the first one, although when I read it it didn't read like it was the first one) and it wasn't half bad! *g*
Anyway, I've got to go and watch a new series called Blind Justice. I thought it was just premiering on British tv, but the stupid tv announcer got the thing wrong and I'm watching the second episode, not the first! Grr! Anyway! Bye! I'll be back soon!
