I'm back in the UK for a quick hello, and it's freezing! It's seriously cold! I've come from Gibraltar, where it's still warm - I was wearing a sleeveless top and shorts all the time. I can't cope with this weather anymore!
I haven't really got much else to say except hello. A quick lowdown from you all would be great, since there's no way on earth I can catch up on what's been happening!

Date: 2004-10-06 03:20 pm (UTC)Personal - well, I've being going out with Gordon for a few months now (remember, the guy whose funk band we saw at the postgrad club?), don't know if you knew about that. It's great! I'm so happy :).
My brother Ross left for the States (North Carolina) for a year recently and he's getting on fine now he's adapted to the heat and got over the homesickness thing. He'll be back for the Christmas holidays.
I got a car about a month ago, a blue Renault Clio 03 plate, so I'm driving to uni now - the additional freedom is great! It quite a fun wee car, although no accelleration compared to what I was used to *g*.
Band is good - we've played a fun summer concert in a park, and now we're practicing for the competition in November. Oh, and I saw Chicago and The Blues Brothers at the Kings in the last few weeks - Chicago was OK, The Blues Brothers was great :). Also saw a classical bites concert at the GRCH (lots of short excerpts from the coming season) so now we're inspired to go see some of the proper concerts.
I think that's all the major events, so I'll stop now. Tell us what you've been doing!

Everything is still the same for me although have moved a few metres from the common room to a office
Still trying to learn how to drive... had a lesson yesterday...huge drama... stalled it crossing the path of oncoming traffic. grrr stupid car! should be able to turn corners in third! *g*
