[livejournal.com profile] kyizi says that when she views my LJ, the photo is in the middle but the posting section is over to the left. Now when I view it (I'm in Firefox), everything is in the centre. I also know that [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris sees everything centred because she was the one who sorted it all out.

So what I'm wondering is how everyone else sees it and what you're viewing it in. Thank you!

Gah!!! Stupid, stupid LJ! Grr argh!

*deep breath*

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] jenjemeer. I suppose I'd better and recheck the coding. *sigh*

it looks like this on Firefox 1.5.09

and like this on Internet Explorer 6

:o)

I think it may be a bug in IE.. iirc there is a work around but I'd have to dig out my CSS notes.

See, the first one is what it looks like for me! Grr!

And the second one is what it looks like for [livejournal.com profile] kyizi, who claims she's using Firefox as well.

*sigh* I think [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris and I are going to have to go over things again this weekend.

All nicely centered for me (Firefox 2.0.0.1). There is an issue in the ways things are centered sometimes between Firefox and IE (as in, it doesn't work in IE). Sometimes, if margin: auto is used, IE won't recognise it. There is a javascript hack you can apply to the page to fix it. However, I've noticed that my IE (which is probably the most recent) is doing it now, when it didn't use to - maybe G updated it when I wasn't looking.

Check the GUI changeable settings for your journal, to make sure everything is set to centered there. Then check your custom CSS for margin: auto or similar. I'll bet your problem is there, and it's not easy to fix.

Thanks, Jen. I really can't be bothered looking at it at the moment - as it's 2205 and I have a nice, new shiny book calling to me. My brain has also collapsed - [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris and I were trying to do rather simple mental arithmetic whilst walking to the train station (working out how much she much she owed me/I owed her when it came to books) and we failed miserably!
