For starters, as an aside, Daniel Radcliffe on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: just a little scary and disturbing for those of us who remember him being twelve and wide-eyed and cute!! It was very funny, though.

And now on to the good stuff. You may remember me posting a review about a Neil Gaiman book called Stardust a while back. I liked it, but didn't think it was the best thing since sliced bread. Well, they've made a film about it, due out October 19th here in the UK, and it looks fantastic. It's got an all star cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert de Niro, Ricky Gervais, Claire Danes, Rupert Everett, Ian Mackellen, Peter O'Toole ... you get the idea.

Anyway, a friend of mine just pointed out the trailer to me. Check this out!

I just watched the trailer last night, poor Neil actually posted an entry in his journal just to let us all know the trailer had gone live XD It's so great!! :D

Lol! I keep forgetting that Neil Gaiman has an LJ. Of course, if it was me, I'd be spamming everyone I knew to let them know the film of my book was trailering! *g*

Actually he just has a journal on his own site and it shows up on LJ via the RSS feed (otherwise the amount of comments would KILL him poor guy). I've got the feed on my flist cause I really love his posts.

Lol, yeah, so would I. He's on tour right now though and rather tired out according to his posts and he still keeps on updating and everything O.o

I am also SO ticked off, the film is being released in the US on the 10th August...which is the day I'm LEAVING Canada and then it won't be available here till October! Missing it just for one day....

I was the same way with X-Men 3. I missed it when I was in the US because no-one I knew wanted to go, and we were busy getting ready to leave, and by the time I got to Gibraltar, it wasn't out yet. Then I discovered it was playing at the one screen Gibraltar has for a week. The nail in the coffin was discovering this the day after it finished showing! Argh!

So I had to see it on the small screen. The same thing happened with PotC 2. Grr!

Yes, it did, which is why there's no way I'm going to miss PotC 3 on the big screen! I'm lucky in that I managed to catch the last Harry Potter on the big screen, as it came out when I last visited Glasgow from the US, so nimoloth, mental_midget, rosenchanted, and loriel_eris and I went to see it.

And naturally, I saw all three LotR films, several times, at the cinema! *g*

*grins* I saw LOTR a couple of times on the big screen as well (in the case of ROTK I saw it on a MEGA big screen :D).

Will definitely be going to see POTC3 at the cinema, probably with Mum for her birthday and then maybe again with a couple of my friends :D

Heee, for the last HP, me, Mum, Dad and my bro prebooked our tickets for the opening night from more than a week ahead....I left a lecture half way through to make sure I'd get there on time!

This time I'll be in Canada for the release of OoTP(the day after we arrive in fact) and will definitely go to watch it on the day. And we're planning to go as a group to watch it in IMAX the day before Prophecy 2007 starts :D I'll have my Slytherin costume finished by then so I'm considering dressing up for it :D (me, obessed? Nah.)

I have to say that I won't be dressing up for HP5, mainly because I know people that work at the cinema and would NEVER live it down! *g*

LOL. Well, the friends I'm meeting up with to watch it are all cosplayers themselves so we'll be a merry insane pack (And we're all Slytherins too XD) ;) My relatives in Canada (who haven't seen me for years) on the othe other hand, are definitely going to think I'm insane. I look forward to it :D
