Just noticed that Tom Felton has started up his own Official website, at the same address as the old unofficial fansite: Tom Felton dot com
It's pretty good, although still in the early working stage, but since he's got a life, like the rest of us, I can understand that. After all, my website has 3 pages!

Date: 2004-04-30 10:09 am (UTC)I can't believe that it's going to be so soon when you get here! As for the constant addiction to chocolate, I succumbed earlier this week and bought 5 bars of assorted Cadbury's varieties, supposedly to get me through exams!
Yes, I love wolves. Always have done, I don't know why. I can't actually remember a time when I didn't! There's something so fascinating about them.
Anyway, I can't wait to meet you in person. :)

Ha! I'd say sometimes chocolate just is the one proper remedy. And there's nothing better to keep your brain working than nougat :). Good luck with your exams! Are they written or oral ones?

I agree. Those animals always fascinated me, too. I have loads of Wolf pictures and read about anything among the Fantasy genre that has got to do with wolves. Say, have you ever read the "Farseer Trilogy" by Robin Hobb?

Ditto :).

Date: 2004-05-03 07:26 am (UTC)I haven't read the "Farseer Trilogy", no, the only trilogy by Robin Hobb that I've read (well, technically, I'm halfway through the third book still) is the "Liveship Trilogy."
I haven't actually read that many books involving wolves, surprisingly, apart from things like The Jungle Book. Oh, and Nicholas Evans of Horse Whisperer fame has a book based around wolves called The Loop which is amazing. Although, like The Horse Whisperer, it's more about the people than the animals, but it's still good.

Date: 2004-05-09 06:54 am (UTC)The Farseer Trilogy is part of a complex book circle, all set in the same alternative world. The Farseer Trilogy comes first, second are the Liveships, and third is The Tawny Man Trilogy. They're all connected, telling one big story, although the protagonists vary. In the Farseer and Tawny Man, the hero is called Fitz (since he's the bastard son of the King-In-Waiting). His ever-close companion is a wolf named Nighteyes, with whom Fitz shares a soul-bond. I personally like the Fitz-tales a lot better than the Liveships: the characters are strong, especially Fitz and Nighteyes, the story is gripping, very sad and eloquent. At the moment I'm waiting for the concluding volume, which is a kind of a torture. I want to know how it all ends! But then again, as soon as I have finished this last book, there will be nothing more.
Ramble, ramble ^_^. Sorry for the advertisement, but I'm so in love with these books, I tend to shout it from the rooftop.
So written exams it will be. I'm crossing my fingers :).

Date: 2004-05-09 07:22 am (UTC)I've heard of them, but sort of avoided Robin Hobb simply because I had so many other books on the go. But then I heard about the Liveship Trilogy and since I have a thing about boats, I decided to read them, since they sounded different. My mother was reading the Assassin's Apprentice books and said that they were really good, but there are only so many hours in the day, and sadly, too many books to read!
However, I may see if I can get hold of the Farseer ones secondhand somewhere. There's a secondhand bookshop nearby (in fact, very close to your hotel!) that I keep avoiding, because I know I'll spend money in there! I might pop in sometime. *g*

Uh-oh. Now I can already hear the call. Come to me...com to me :))). Bookshops tend to suck me in. Literally.

Date: 2004-05-09 08:35 am (UTC)This bookshop is amazing - it's got bookshelves that go right up to the ceiling. (Saying that, it's probably shut or something now! There was a fabulous second-hand bookshop in the city that specialised in fantasy and sci-fi books that shut after my first year here. I was completely gutted.)
