So, [livejournal.com profile] windzswept, tonight was a night you would have been proud of me. [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris and I were out in her back garden, staring up at the red moon as it reached totality, and I explained to her, using a pot plant as the Sun, myself as the Earth, and my arm as the Moon, how lunar eclipses work. I even managed to remember some figures from our presentation! Perhaps this is a call for everyone to learn their lessons by breaking them down into a silly show! (Despite [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris doing the same Physics & Astronomy degree as myself, we didn't ever really cover eclipses, so for practically the first time ever, I knew more than she did!)

Hurray for Paperclips, and lunar eclipses!

Also, I proved tonight that my inability to get onto the internet at my house, has nothing to do with Doyle (my computer) or my little aerial, but instead must have something to do with Catherine's router, because I am posting this from Doyle and I had no problem getting online at [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris's.

All in all, a successful day! Especially so since I've been getting updates on my tv shows from [livejournal.com profile] loriel_eris, so soon I shall be up-to-date on Supernatural and Jericho (ish - I'll be a few episodes behind, but not as much as I was before!) and others. *g* Hurrah!!

I've also been watching clips of Top Gear from the BBC website, TopGear. So funny! Car football was funny, but so far, the 'TG goes caravanning' takes the biscuit! *g*

So there was an eclipse last night? I saw the full moon in the sky after dark, but had no idea an eclipse was in order. Maybe not in this part of the world?

Yeah, router connections are usually the blame.

Cheers heliona!

Yeah, I think the eclipse was best viewed from Europe. Also, totality was around 2321 GMT, which would still be daylight for you, so that might have been a problem! *g*

I shall have to investigate the router more carefully now. *sigh* I like Doyle being on the internet!
